In short

The Gared GP104A60 is an in-ground outdoor basketball system from the Endurance playground line, built around a 6" square post with a 4' safe play area (48" extension arm), a 42" x 60" BB60A38 acrylic backboard and an 8800 Endurance breakaway double rim. It is aimed at parks, schools and playgrounds that need a pro-style court able to take elite-level play. Post and arm components are covered by a lifetime warranty; padding is not included.

The Endurance post is 6" square with 1/4" wall ASTM A500 Gr.B tubing, hot dip galvanized and then powder coated black for extended corrosion protection. The extension arm is a triangular design using tubing welded to a heavy plate and connected to the vertical post with four 3/4" diameter U-bolts, and two galvanized and powder coated braces run from the upper backboard mounting points to the post and arm for added rigidity.

This configuration pairs the 48" extension arm with the BB60A38 acrylic backboard (42" x 60") and the 8800 Endurance breakaway goal, giving a 4' safe play area under the board. Steel parts are galvanized and powder coated black and hardware is zinc plated.

The concrete foundation is supplied by others: the drawing shows a minimum 2'-6" [0.76 m] diameter, 3'-6" [1.07 m] deep footing over 6" [0.15 m] of gravel, and the size shown is a minimum that should be reviewed against local wind loads and soil conditions. Padding is not supplied with the unit; PP6SQF fitted and PP6WR wrap-around 6" square pole pads are offered as accessories. The system ships by truck at class 85, 702 lbs (318.42 kg).

Warranty

Lifetime Warranty on post components (in-ground post, extension arm and bracing)

Gared Holdings LLC warrants its equipment against defects in material or factory workmanship. Coverage length depends on the product line — this model carries the warranty noted above where listed. Gared's warranty periods run as follows:

Lifetime - Endurance playground systems: in-ground post, extension arm and bracing components.
25 years - Standard Duty and Heavy Duty playground posts (braced gooseneck and adjustable straight post structures).
10 years - volleyball uprights on OmniSteel, OmniLite, RallyLine and GoCourt systems, and economy playground posts.
5 years - FGP series football goalposts, manual and electric winches, curtain hoists and the SafStop gymnasium structure.
4 years - 2500 / 2500I Tournament breakaway goals.
3 years - winch assemblies, floor sleeves and cover plates, and regulation volleyball nets.
2 years - portable winch winders and selected backboards.
1 year - nets, padding, base adapters, height adjusters, badminton and tetherball systems, referee stands and accessories.

The warranty period starts on the date of substantial completion (installation). Defects must be reported to Gared in writing during the warranty period with proof of purchase and the purchase or installation date; Gared will repair or replace the defective equipment at its discretion, with shipping, insurance and installation costs borne by the owner.

Not covered: improper installation, use other than intended, unauthorized alterations or modifications, abuse or misuse, and damage from fire, flood, wind or lightning. Liability is limited to repair or replacement of the defective equipment. As an authorized Gared dealer, JoySportStore files warranty claims directly with the manufacturer on your behalf.
