The Gared 4066 is a rear-mount, fixed institutional basketball goal with an official 18" ring of 5/8" diameter high carbon/manganese steel and twelve no-tie net holders. It is supplied complete with a nylon net and zinc plated mounting hardware, and meets NCAA (except Division I) and NFSHSA specifications.

The 4066 Rear-Mount High Strength Institutional Goal is an economical multi-use fixed goal. The ring is official size at 18" diameter, formed from 5/8" diameter stock in high carbon/manganese material for strength, with braces reinforcing the ring from beneath and a continuous no-tie ring carrying twelve net holders for fast net installation.

Mounting is rear-mount through a 7-gauge back plate, 6" wide, with an eight-hole configuration; hole spacing covers 2-1/4" to 3-15/16" horizontally and 1" to 3" vertically. Installation uses four carriage bolts torqued to 15 to 20 ft-lbs plus a 7/16" hex bolt into the threaded hole at the bottom of the backboard, torqued to 20 to 24 ft-lbs, then a cover plate over the goal base.

The goal has a durable official orange powder coated finish and ships complete with a nylon net and zinc plated mounting hardware. Goal weight is 13 lbs [5.9 kg]. Compatible backboards are models 1266 and 1266B; see the Goal-Board Matrix specification sheet for board compatibility. Gared warrants the 4066 for three years against defects in material or factory workmanship.

Warranty

3-Year Limited Warranty (Model 4066 high strength institutional rear mount goal)

Gared Holdings LLC warrants its equipment against defects in material or factory workmanship. Coverage length depends on the product line — this model carries the warranty noted above where listed. Gared's warranty periods run as follows:

Lifetime - Endurance playground systems: in-ground post, extension arm and bracing components.
25 years - Standard Duty and Heavy Duty playground posts (braced gooseneck and adjustable straight post structures).
10 years - volleyball uprights on OmniSteel, OmniLite, RallyLine and GoCourt systems, and economy playground posts.
5 years - FGP series football goalposts, manual and electric winches, curtain hoists and the SafStop gymnasium structure.
4 years - 2500 / 2500I Tournament breakaway goals.
3 years - winch assemblies, floor sleeves and cover plates, and regulation volleyball nets.
2 years - portable winch winders and selected backboards.
1 year - nets, padding, base adapters, height adjusters, badminton and tetherball systems, referee stands and accessories.

The warranty period starts on the date of substantial completion (installation). Defects must be reported to Gared in writing during the warranty period with proof of purchase and the purchase or installation date; Gared will repair or replace the defective equipment at its discretion, with shipping, insurance and installation costs borne by the owner.

Not covered: improper installation, use other than intended, unauthorized alterations or modifications, abuse or misuse, and damage from fire, flood, wind or lightning. Liability is limited to repair or replacement of the defective equipment. As an authorized Gared dealer, JoySportStore files warranty claims directly with the manufacturer on your behalf.
