In short

The Gared 8412 Hoopla is a portable steel netball system built for league and tournament play. A 2.5" O.D. galvanized steel post carries an official 15" diameter netball goal and bolts into pre-drilled holes at three playing heights between 8' and 10'. The post drops into a 50 lb welded steel triangular base, so the unit stays stable during play yet can be moved off court afterwards.

The Hoopla system is designed for recreational, league and tournament netball where a permanent in-ground post is not practical. The upright is 2.5" [63.5 mm] O.D. galvanized steel finished in white powder coat, and it slots snugly into a triangular welded steel base weighing 50 lb [22.7 kg] and powder coated black. That combination gives enough mass for competitive play while keeping the unit portable.

The goal is a 15N netball ring with a 15" [380 mm] diameter opening formed from 0.625" [16.0 mm] diameter stock and powder coated orange. Height is set by bolting the post into pre-drilled holes at one of three playing heights: 8'-2 3/8" [2.50 m], 9'-1/4" [2.75 m] and the full 10'-0" [3.05 m] play height, covering junior through senior netball.

For added protection, Gared offers model 8440 full height padding, a 1" [25 mm] thick pad with Velcro attachment, which is not included with the system. The 8412 is made in the US and ships by truck at 187 lbs.

Warranty

5 Years Limited Warranty

Gared Holdings LLC warrants its equipment against defects in material or factory workmanship. Coverage length depends on the product line — this model carries the warranty noted above where listed. Gared's warranty periods run as follows:

Lifetime - Endurance playground systems: in-ground post, extension arm and bracing components.
25 years - Standard Duty and Heavy Duty playground posts (braced gooseneck and adjustable straight post structures).
10 years - volleyball uprights on OmniSteel, OmniLite, RallyLine and GoCourt systems, and economy playground posts.
5 years - FGP series football goalposts, manual and electric winches, curtain hoists and the SafStop gymnasium structure.
4 years - 2500 / 2500I Tournament breakaway goals.
3 years - winch assemblies, floor sleeves and cover plates, and regulation volleyball nets.
2 years - portable winch winders and selected backboards.
1 year - nets, padding, base adapters, height adjusters, badminton and tetherball systems, referee stands and accessories.

The warranty period starts on the date of substantial completion (installation). Defects must be reported to Gared in writing during the warranty period with proof of purchase and the purchase or installation date; Gared will repair or replace the defective equipment at its discretion, with shipping, insurance and installation costs borne by the owner.

Not covered: improper installation, use other than intended, unauthorized alterations or modifications, abuse or misuse, and damage from fire, flood, wind or lightning. Liability is limited to repair or replacement of the defective equipment. As an authorized Gared dealer, JoySportStore files warranty claims directly with the manufacturer on your behalf.
