In short

The Gared WCN is a heavy-gauge welded steel chain basketball net built from 3.5 mm zinc plated welded link chain, with 12 attachment chains of 3/16" zinc plated wire and 5/8" zinc plated steel S hooks. It is made for indoor or outdoor recreational play on playgrounds and in parks, and is compatible with double-bump net attachment goals, including the Gared 140 goal. The goal itself is not included.

Chain nets survive outdoor courts where nylon nets do not. The WCN uses welded chain links, which Gared describes as the most rugged chain net available: it will not stretch, tangle, break or shrink during heavy play, and it will not scratch the ball.

The net body is constructed from 3.5 mm zinc plated welded chain. Twelve attachment chains made from 3/16" (4.8 mm) diameter zinc plated wire connect the net to the rim through 5/8" (16 mm) zinc plated steel S hooks. The assembly is steel with a galvanized finish so it stands up to the elements year-round.

The WCN is compatible with double-bump net attachment rims and fits the Gared 140 goal, and it can be used on single-rim and double-rim goals. The goal itself is not included with the net.

Warranty

1-Year Limited Warranty (CN/SCN/WCN chain basketball nets)

Gared Holdings LLC warrants its equipment against defects in material or factory workmanship. Coverage length depends on the product line — this model carries the warranty noted above where listed. Gared's warranty periods run as follows:

Lifetime - Endurance playground systems: in-ground post, extension arm and bracing components.
25 years - Standard Duty and Heavy Duty playground posts (braced gooseneck and adjustable straight post structures).
10 years - volleyball uprights on OmniSteel, OmniLite, RallyLine and GoCourt systems, and economy playground posts.
5 years - FGP series football goalposts, manual and electric winches, curtain hoists and the SafStop gymnasium structure.
4 years - 2500 / 2500I Tournament breakaway goals.
3 years - winch assemblies, floor sleeves and cover plates, and regulation volleyball nets.
2 years - portable winch winders and selected backboards.
1 year - nets, padding, base adapters, height adjusters, badminton and tetherball systems, referee stands and accessories.

The warranty period starts on the date of substantial completion (installation). Defects must be reported to Gared in writing during the warranty period with proof of purchase and the purchase or installation date; Gared will repair or replace the defective equipment at its discretion, with shipping, insurance and installation costs borne by the owner.

Not covered: improper installation, use other than intended, unauthorized alterations or modifications, abuse or misuse, and damage from fire, flood, wind or lightning. Liability is limited to repair or replacement of the defective equipment. As an authorized Gared dealer, JoySportStore files warranty claims directly with the manufacturer on your behalf.
