The Gared PK4531 is a standard-duty straight post outdoor basketball package for schoolyards, municipal parks and recreation facilities. It pairs a 4-1/2" O.D. adjustable straight post (AAB45-26) and AAB45-27 arm giving a 48" safe play area with a 1245T fan-shape marked steel backboard and a 240 fixed double rim. The AAB35-12 brace and 15A453943 brace kit are included.

The PK4531 is the steel-backboard version of Gared's standard-duty straight post playground package. The 4-1/2" O.D. adjustable straight post carries a 4' extension arm, holding a 48" safe play area between the pole and the board so play under the rim stays clear.

Package components are specified by Gared: AAB45-26 post, AAB45-27 arm, 1245T fan-shape marked steel backboard and 240 fixed double rim, together with the AAB35-12 brace and 15A453943 brace kit. No strut is used on this package, and the braces and brace kits shown apply to all boards except acrylic and glass.

The system ships by truck at 290 lbs (131.54 kg), shipping dimensions 4.5" x 4.5" x 162", shipping class 70. A parts checklist is supplied with the installation manual so all components can be verified before assembly.

Warranty

Gared Holdings LLC warrants its equipment against defects in material or factory workmanship. Coverage length depends on the product line — this model carries the warranty noted above where listed. Gared's warranty periods run as follows:

Lifetime - Endurance playground systems: in-ground post, extension arm and bracing components.
25 years - Standard Duty and Heavy Duty playground posts (braced gooseneck and adjustable straight post structures).
10 years - volleyball uprights on OmniSteel, OmniLite, RallyLine and GoCourt systems, and economy playground posts.
5 years - FGP series football goalposts, manual and electric winches, curtain hoists and the SafStop gymnasium structure.
4 years - 2500 / 2500I Tournament breakaway goals.
3 years - winch assemblies, floor sleeves and cover plates, and regulation volleyball nets.
2 years - portable winch winders and selected backboards.
1 year - nets, padding, base adapters, height adjusters, badminton and tetherball systems, referee stands and accessories.

The warranty period starts on the date of substantial completion (installation). Defects must be reported to Gared in writing during the warranty period with proof of purchase and the purchase or installation date; Gared will repair or replace the defective equipment at its discretion, with shipping, insurance and installation costs borne by the owner.

Not covered: improper installation, use other than intended, unauthorized alterations or modifications, abuse or misuse, and damage from fire, flood, wind or lightning. Liability is limited to repair or replacement of the defective equipment. As an authorized Gared dealer, JoySportStore files warranty claims directly with the manufacturer on your behalf.
