The Gared GSUAP Universal Adapter Plate is an orange powder-coated welded steel plate that lets a basketball rim be lifted off the backboard when play is over, protecting it from unauthorized use or theft. It bolts to a standard backboard with four hex bolts and holds the goal with four 3/8" locking bolts. It works with non-breakaway rims having a 5" to 7" wide back plate and 5" x 5", 5" x 4", 4" x 4" or 3" x 4" hole patterns.

Outdoor courts at schools, parks and churches often need a way to shut the court down after hours. The GSUAP Universal Adapter Plate does that at the rim: the goal slides tightly into the plate for secure play and slides back out when the game is finished, so the rim can be stored rather than left for unauthorized use or theft.

The plate is made from heavy gauge steel with welded flanges that capture the goal while in play, finished in orange powder coat. It mounts to a standard backboard with four hex bolts, and the goal itself is held by four 3/8" locking bolts; 3/8-16 mounting hardware is included, with a 3/8-16 locking bolt adjustment on the plate.

Fitment covers non-breakaway rims with a 5" to 7" wide back plate and mounting hole patterns of 5" x 5", 5" x 4", 4" x 4" and 3" x 4". Gared lists the 39WO, 4039, 140 and 240 stationary goals as compatible. The plate weighs 5 lbs (2.3 kg) and the backboard and goal are not included.

Warranty

1-Year Limited Warranty against defects in material or factory workmanship

Gared Holdings LLC warrants its equipment against defects in material or factory workmanship. Coverage length depends on the product line — this model carries the warranty noted above where listed. Gared's warranty periods run as follows:

Lifetime - Endurance playground systems: in-ground post, extension arm and bracing components.
25 years - Standard Duty and Heavy Duty playground posts (braced gooseneck and adjustable straight post structures).
10 years - volleyball uprights on OmniSteel, OmniLite, RallyLine and GoCourt systems, and economy playground posts.
5 years - FGP series football goalposts, manual and electric winches, curtain hoists and the SafStop gymnasium structure.
4 years - 2500 / 2500I Tournament breakaway goals.
3 years - winch assemblies, floor sleeves and cover plates, and regulation volleyball nets.
2 years - portable winch winders and selected backboards.
1 year - nets, padding, base adapters, height adjusters, badminton and tetherball systems, referee stands and accessories.

The warranty period starts on the date of substantial completion (installation). Defects must be reported to Gared in writing during the warranty period with proof of purchase and the purchase or installation date; Gared will repair or replace the defective equipment at its discretion, with shipping, insurance and installation costs borne by the owner.

Not covered: improper installation, use other than intended, unauthorized alterations or modifications, abuse or misuse, and damage from fire, flood, wind or lightning. Liability is limited to repair or replacement of the defective equipment. As an authorized Gared dealer, JoySportStore files warranty claims directly with the manufacturer on your behalf.
