The TPT684-XXL is Ironclad's largest Triple Threat model, built around a regulation 72" wide x 42" tall tempered glass backboard, the same size used in high school, college, and professional play. The 6"x8" one-piece 7 gauge square post provides a 48" (4') offset from backboard to post, giving players room to move underneath the rim without contacting the pole.

A spring-assist crank system adjusts the rim height from 5.5' up to 10', with a rim height indicator for quick reference, making the system usable for players of varying skill levels. The breakaway rim and net are gymnasium quality, flexing under load and returning to position. Post and backboard padding are included at no extra cost for player safety.

Construction uses a bolt-down anchor design, allowing the unit to be disconnected and relocated if the owner moves. Steel components are zinc galvanized and then black powder coated under Ironclad's Weather Shield process, and assembly uses stainless steel bolts throughout. Delivery is made via liftgate to ease unloading from the freight truck.

Every Ironclad Sports basketball system is backed by the manufacturer's Lifetime Warranty. This model carries the warranty noted above. Here is what Ironclad's warranty covers:

Lifetime Warranty on the system - covers damage caused by any basketball related activity, including dunking and hanging on the rim.
GameChanger models - warrantied against dunking only.
Coating - all painted items carry a one-year limited warranty on the coating.
Padding - all post and backboard padding carries a one-year limited warranty.
Not covered - damage caused by vandalism, and normal wear and tear from weathering or UV exposure.

How much clearance do I need behind the post?

Ironclad recommends allowing 18" of space from the back of the post to any wall or obstruction for easy cranking.

Can I move the hoop if I relocate?

Yes, the bolt-down anchor base can be disconnected from the concrete footing and reinstalled at a new location using a new set of anchor bolts.

What backboard size fits my driveway?

A two car driveway suits a 54" or 60" backboard, while three car driveways or dedicated courts work best with 60" or 72" wide backboards like this 72" model.
