In short

The Jaypro N1012GB is a stationary wall mounted basketball backstop built for a long 10' to 12' face of bank. The kit includes a GBRUB-42 42" x 72" glass backboard, a GBA-642 Revolution breakaway goal, the 1310-1012-FRAME frame kit with four 137" HBAR-137 pipes, cross frame bracing, 182" safety chains and a southern yellow pine wood stringer kit. It is designed for gymnasiums where the playing surface sits well away from the mounting wall.

The N1012GB covers face of bank distances from 10'-0" to 12'-0". Four HBAR-137 horizontal frame pipes are supplied 137" long and are cut and drilled in the field; the installation tables list frame pipe length and stringer locations in one-inch steps for both direct attached and height adjuster versions.

Because of the long extension, the unit includes two cross frame braces for both the top and bottom frame assembly, using XBAR internal brace pipes 63-3/8" long together with sixteen SR5297 pipe clamp tee fittings sized 1.90" to 1.90". Two 1/4" GRD 43 zinc plated chains 182" long support the frame, terminated with a 3/8 forged galvanized shackle and a 1/2-13 jaw-jaw galvanized turnbuckle.

Frame and chains attach to southern yellow pine wood stringers: WOOD-KT1 with three WH-66 stringers at 7-1/2" x 92" for horizontal mounting, or WOOD-KT2 with two WP18 and two WP36 stringers for vertical mounting. Wall anchors are supplied by others and should be a minimum of 1/2" diameter, with thru-bolting preferred, and the wall must be brick, concrete or other solid or semi-solid masonry. Only qualified, properly trained installers should attempt installation.

Warranty

Jaypro Sports (Waterford, Connecticut) warrants its equipment against defects in material and workmanship from the date of shipment. Coverage length depends on the product line — where a specific period is listed above, that period applies to this model. Jaypro warranty periods run as follows:

Limited Lifetime – glass basketball backboards (GBAFR-48, GBRUB-42, GBRUB-54) against breaks and cracks in the glass when used with a direct goal mount.
25 years – structure of wall-mounted basketball backstops and Shooting Station systems.
10 years – uprights on FeatherLite, PowerLite and Hybrid Steel volleyball net systems.
7 years – Collegiate competition basketball goals (GBA-542 "Shot", GBA-642 "Revolution").
5 years – Revolution Series 180° flex basketball goals.
3 years – the majority of the catalog: fixed and breakaway basketball goals, aluminum backboards, lacrosse and field hockey goals, floor sleeves, sleeve reducers and floor anchors, referee stands and equipment carriers.
1 year – bases, home plates and pitching rubbers, volleyball nets and net accessories (antennas, boundary tape, court lines), batting cage systems and general accessories.

The warranty covers factory defects under normal, intended use. Jaypro will repair, replace or refund the defective item at its discretion; claims require a Return Authorization (RMA) before any item is sent back.

Not covered: normal wear, weather exposure, cosmetic damage that does not affect function, improper installation, use other than intended, and any unauthorized alteration or modification of the original factory configuration. As an authorized Jaypro Sports dealer, JoySportStore files warranty claims directly with the manufacturer on your behalf.

How much wall height does this backstop need?

With the chains attached to the bottom of the frame, 19'-5" of wall height is required at a 10' face of bank and 21'-5" at 12'. If the chains must attach to the top of the frame, the requirement rises to 22'-5" and 24'-5" respectively.

Why does this model have extra bracing?

At a 10' to 12' extension the N1012GB includes two cross frame braces for both the top and bottom frame assembly, built from XBAR internal brace pipes 63-3/8" long and 1.90" to 1.90" pipe clamp tee fittings, to keep the long frame rigid.
