The Gared 6811 Portable Tetherball System is built around a galvanized steel post that seats into a base sleeve welded to a heavy steel base plate, allowing the whole unit to be rolled on and off the court without any permanent foundation. The base plate features a black PVC edge to protect gym floors, and the post is bolted into the sleeve so it doesn't spin during play.

According to the manufacturer's specifications, the post is 1.9" O.D. x 0.120" wall galvanized steel tubing, standing a full 10 feet tall, while the base sleeve is 0.095" DOM steel tubing with a 2-1/8" outside diameter and 4-inch length, welded to a 40.5" diameter, 1/4"-thick steel base plate with a powder coat finish. The system ships complete with a tetherball attached to a 9'-10" nylon rope, plated hardware, and the base weldment.

Gared Holdings LLC warrants its equipment against defects in material or factory workmanship. Coverage length depends on the product line — this model carries the warranty noted above where listed. Gared's warranty periods run as follows:

Lifetime - Endurance playground systems: in-ground post, extension arm and bracing components.
25 years - Standard Duty and Heavy Duty playground posts (braced gooseneck and adjustable straight post structures).
10 years - volleyball uprights on OmniSteel, OmniLite, RallyLine and GoCourt systems, and economy playground posts.
5 years - FGP series football goalposts, manual and electric winches, curtain hoists and the SafStop gymnasium structure.
4 years - 2500 / 2500I Tournament breakaway goals.
3 years - winch assemblies, floor sleeves and cover plates, and regulation volleyball nets.
2 years - portable winch winders and selected backboards.
1 year - nets, padding, base adapters, height adjusters, badminton and tetherball systems, referee stands and accessories.

The warranty period starts on the date of substantial completion (installation). Defects must be reported to Gared in writing during the warranty period with proof of purchase and the purchase or installation date; Gared will repair or replace the defective equipment at its discretion, with shipping, insurance and installation costs borne by the owner.

Not covered: improper installation, use other than intended, unauthorized alterations or modifications, abuse or misuse, and damage from fire, flood, wind or lightning. Liability is limited to repair or replacement of the defective equipment. As an authorized Gared dealer, JoySportStore files warranty claims directly with the manufacturer on your behalf.
