The Rampage Eclipse Portable Basketball System is constructed with a main vertical upright of 4”x4” x 11 gauge steel tubing and a zinc plated 3”x3” x 11 gauge telescoping member, supporting a 2”x3”x 11 gauge extension arm providing a 30” setback from the backboard to the base. This system features an EZ-Crank worm-gear adjustment mechanism, allowing for infinite height adjustments from a standard 10’ down to 6’6” easily by one person. The extension arm is designed for direct rim mounting, eliminating backboard stress, and is collapsible for easy transport through standard double doors, with additional support from two tubular braces for the backboard's upper corners.
The system’s base is made of all-steel construction, primarily from 3/16” and 11 gauge formed steel, measuring 32” across the front and 54” front to back. It is designed to accept ten 4”x 8”x 16” solid cement blocks, totaling 300 lbs. (ballast not included), ensuring stability during play with front foot pads. Portability is facilitated by three 4” non-marking wheels, with the front wheel lowered by a foot-pressure operated pivoting cam, enabling easy one-person movement. The entire system is finished with a powder coat black, except for the inner telescoping member which is zinc plated silver, and includes 2” thick foam padding for the base and upright, secured by velcro, which does not need removal for transport or adjustment and is available in various colors.
