The Jaypro VRS-8000 "Mega Ref" is the heavy-duty version of Jaypro's folding volleyball referee stand, rated to 300 lbs on a heavy wall steel ladder frame. It holds the platform 48" above floor level and folds flat for storage. It is aimed at high schools, colleges and tournament venues that need extra capacity and daily setup durability.

Compared with Jaypro's standard folding stand, the Mega Ref steps up to heavier wall steel tubing and a higher rated capacity while keeping the same platform elevation. The all-welded ladder frame with non-slip foot rungs arrives ready to deploy and holds its geometry through repeated use.

Double non-marring wheels fixed to the front legs let one person tilt and roll the stand across a gym floor, and fixed rubber feet protect finished hardwood once it is positioned. The vinyl padded platform and hand rail give the official a stable working position through long match days.

For storage the stand folds down to a narrow profile that stands against a wall or fits in an equipment room. A platform locking safety pin with a wire loop secures the deployed position, and Jaypro instructs users to verify the pin is fully inserted through the platform bracket before every use. Referee stand padding is available separately as VRS-60P.

3-Year Limited Warranty

Jaypro Sports (Waterford, Connecticut) warrants its equipment against defects in material and workmanship from the date of shipment. Coverage length depends on the product line — where a specific period is listed above, that period applies to this model. Jaypro warranty periods run as follows:

Limited Lifetime – glass basketball backboards (GBAFR-48, GBRUB-42, GBRUB-54) against breaks and cracks in the glass when used with a direct goal mount.
25 years – structure of wall-mounted basketball backstops and Shooting Station systems.
10 years – uprights on FeatherLite, PowerLite and Hybrid Steel volleyball net systems.
7 years – Collegiate competition basketball goals (GBA-542 "Shot", GBA-642 "Revolution").
5 years – Revolution Series 180° flex basketball goals.
3 years – the majority of the catalog: fixed and breakaway basketball goals, aluminum backboards, lacrosse and field hockey goals, floor sleeves, sleeve reducers and floor anchors, referee stands and equipment carriers.
1 year – bases, home plates and pitching rubbers, volleyball nets and net accessories (antennas, boundary tape, court lines), batting cage systems and general accessories.

The warranty covers factory defects under normal, intended use. Jaypro will repair, replace or refund the defective item at its discretion; claims require a Return Authorization (RMA) before any item is sent back.

Not covered: normal wear, weather exposure, cosmetic damage that does not affect function, improper installation, use other than intended, and any unauthorized alteration or modification of the original factory configuration. As an authorized Jaypro Sports dealer, JoySportStore files warranty claims directly with the manufacturer on your behalf.
