The Slam Nitro Basketball System features a one-piece 4" square vertical pole with minimum 11 gauge wall thickness designed to be buried 36" in concrete. The pole includes a watertight vinyl cap for moisture protection. Adjustable dual 2" x 2" tubing extension arms allow the rim to be positioned a minimum of 24" from the post face while maintaining a 10' playing height, with the ability to adjust rim height from 10' down to 7' in six-inch increments using a removable pin adjustment mechanism.

The backboard measures approximately 60" wide by 36" high and is constructed of 1/4" thick clear tempered glass with bright white ceramic markings fired directly into the surface. The framework uses clear anodized aluminum "L" type extrusions. Two springs mounted in the extension assembly counteract the weight of the backboard and rim, enabling easy one-person height adjustments. The rim is mounted directly to the extension arm through the backboard to reduce stress on the backboard structure.

The rim is an institutional-quality flexible design featuring an official 5/8" diameter high-strength steel ring supported by a 3/16" brace that supports 60% of the ring. Spring action is provided by a heavy-duty compression wire spring, with all structural components built of no less than 3/16" steel. A steel coverplate encloses the internal mechanism, and the rim is punched to mount either 3"x 4" or 5"x 5" hole patterns with an orange powdercoated finish. The complete system weighs approximately 215 pounds and carries a Lifetime Superior Warranty on the pole, backboard, and standard rim.

Every First Team product is backed by First Team's warranty program. This model carries the warranty noted above. Here is what First Team's warranty tiers cover:

Limited Warranty - covers damage during normal, intended use. Excludes vandalism and deliberate damage. Normal wear from weathering or UV exposure is not covered; all painted items carry a 1-year limited warranty on coating.
Superior Warranty - additionally covers any damage or failure caused by basketball activity or contact with the unit, including deliberate hanging on the rim. Vandalism excluded.
Unconditional Warranty - the broadest tier: covers any damage or failure that occurs for any reason.
Manufacturer's Defect - all products are warranted against manufacturer's defects at delivery.

Warranties apply to the original purchaser only and are non-transferable; coverage ends on resale or transfer. Residential-only products are not covered for non-residential use.
