The Douglas PPS-22SQ Premier Portable Pickleball System is designed for indoor or outdoor courts where permanent installation isn't desired, offering durability close to that of a permanent net system. Constructed from 3 in. square, 11-gauge heavy-duty steel posts and a 3/16 in. wall 11-gauge steel base frame, the system is finished with a black baked-on polyester powder coat for rust resistance and year-round durability.

Unlike many portable systems, the PPS-22SQ uses a Velcro center strap to maintain the proper 34 in. center net height required for regulation play, paired with the PN-30 Douglas Pickleball Net that requires no lacing rods for attachment. The system's flat stabilizer legs extend only 12 in. on each side of the court, allowing greater range of play and improved player safety compared to bulkier portable bases.

Assembly is straightforward, with post and base frame components sliding into place and secured with pre-drilled set screws, requiring only a couple of tools. The internal self-locking gear mechanism operates at a 30:1 ratio for smooth, easy net tensioning, while a transporter wheel assembly and lift-assist handles make the 215-lb system easier to move and store.

5-Year Warranty

Douglas Industries, Inc. (Eldridge, Iowa) backs its equipment with the Douglas® Standard Limited Warranty against defects in material and factory workmanship. Coverage length depends on the product line — where a specific period is listed above, that period applies to this model. Douglas warranty periods run as follows:

Limited Lifetime – gooseneck basketball posts with 6' extension.
25 years – gooseneck basketball posts with 4' extension.
10 years – gooseneck posts with 3' extension; pro-rated structural warranty on Bakko and steel/aluminum backboards (1 year on the Imron® finish); selected post and net systems.
7 years – Douglas® MAX batting tunnel frames (with proper installation and normal use).
5 years – standard Douglas® batting tunnel frames, most tennis / volleyball / pickleball post systems and Premier™ posts; 5-year fade warranty on Sunbrella® canvas.
4 years – VCP MAX windscreen mesh, #420 knotless pylon netting and other netting lines; fabrics are warranted pro-rata for 3–4 years against material defects and poor workmanship.
3 years – selected fabric and netting products.
2 years – selected hardware and padding.
1 year – accessories, replacement parts and paint / finish coverage.

Digital printing on windscreen and vinyl products carries the same warranty as the underlying windscreen or vinyl material.

Not covered: improper installation, use other than intended, unauthorized alterations, abuse or misuse, normal wear, and damage from fire, flood, wind, lightning or leaving products outdoors beyond their intended seasonal use.
