These posts use heavy wall 2-7/8 in. O.D. steel pipe finished in powder coated black or green over a zinc undercoat, so they hold up to permanent outdoor exposure. A profile die cast top cap with a fixed pulley carries the net cable, and welded lacing rails keep the net edge tight against the post.

The solid stainless steel internal worm gear winch with self-locking mechanism tensions the net from inside the post, and the handle is removable to discourage tampering between sessions. An adjustable height stop collar makes it easy to return to the official 36 in. net height every time.

Installation is semi-permanent using ground sleeves with end caps (P/N TP-278G), which are sold separately along with the net (P/N PT-21N). That lets a facility anchor the posts flush with the court surface and remove them when the court is used for other activities.
