The First Team Horizon Complete is a portable volleyball system engineered for elite competition play, suitable for all competition floor types including maple, molded tile, and synthetic, without requiring additional ballast, floor hold downs, or any wall/ceiling attachments. Its structural design ensures the base allows for suspension of at least 250# in the net's center without base movement. Main structural steel components are a minimum 2āx4ā tubing with 1/8ā wall thickness and Ā½ā steel plate construction, all finished with a grey hammertone polyester powder coating.
The system features a low-profile base, with no part exceeding 13ā above the playing surface, which houses a fully enclosed ballast compartment properly loaded with 700# steel ballast at the factory. For mobility, the unit rolls on four 8ā diameter x 1 Ā½ā wide non-marking wheels and one 4ā x 2ā non-marking swivel wheel in transport position. When rolled into playing position, the front of the system lowers to the floor on one 8ā diameter non-marking anti-skid footpad, activated when the post is raised. Net height is infinitely variable from a minimum of 78ā to 98ā, adjusted with a single, spring assisted, threaded knob per post, with Menās, Womenās, and Juniorās height settings clearly identified.
The net is one meter high, constructed of black polypropylene 3.5mm knotless woven webbing, featuring a Kevlar top rope and polypropylene bottom rope, with top, bottom, and sides finished with white tarpaulin fabric. Net tensioning is managed by a 26:1 ratio worm gear winch for the top rope and ratcheting style tensioners for the bottom rope and side tape dowels. Player safety is ensured with no less than Ā½ā thick foam padding with a white vinyl cover for net ropes, and the base and uprights are padded to a minimum of 72ā with 2ā and 1 Ā½ā thick high density foam covered with vinyl in a choice of 16 colors. The complete system, which includes official boundary antennas, weighs 2500 lbs. and meets or exceeds all NCAA, USVBA, NFHS, and FIVB requirements for competition.
