The Douglas Vinyl Coated Polyester (VCP) Windscreen is a durable, weather-resistant fabric made from a 50% vinyl, 50% polyester 9 x 12 weave, offering 80% windbreak at a weight of 8 oz per square yard. It is available in standard colors including Dark Green, Black, Tournament Blue, Royal Blue, Navy Blue and Red, with additional specialty colors such as Yellow, White, Purple, Orange, Burgundy, Gray, Brown and Bright Green available by special request.
Construction features Douglas's proprietary 3-ply extra-strong hems, seamed with solid vinyl inserts and double sewn to 1-1/2 inches wide, using #2 brass grommets spaced every 12 inches along panel sides and every 18 inches along the top and bottom. Panels taller than 6 ft include a center reinforcement tab sewn with 18 oz black vinyl and grommets every 18 inches to reduce billowing, visible only from the back for a clean installed appearance.
Screens are offered in standard 6 ft and 9 ft heights, with custom heights available on request, and lengths are fully custom made to the nearest inch, with a maximum recommended 60 ft per panel. Optional air vents (AVR sewn or AV die-cut) can be added for taller screens in high-wind installations, and the material supports vibrant full-color digital printing directly onto the fabric for branding and advertising.
