The Champ II Basketball System from First Team Sports uses a one-piece 4" square vertical pole with a minimum 11 gauge wall thickness, designed to be buried 36" in concrete and sealed with a watertight vinyl cap to prevent moisture intrusion.

Adjustable extension arms, built from 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" tubing, provide a minimum 18" clearance from the post to the backboard face at a 10' rim height, and allow rim height adjustment from 10' down to 7 1/2' in six-inch increments using a pole or broom handle. A spring in the extension assembly counteracts backboard and rim weight for easy one-person adjustment, and the rim mounts directly through the backboard to reduce stress.

The backboard is 3/8" thick acrylic with bright white screening in a clear anodized aluminum "L" type extrusion frame, measuring approximately 48" wide by 36" high. The flexible, institutional-quality rim has a 5/8" diameter ring with a standard 18" I.D. opening and orange powder coated finish, paired with a heavy-duty nylon net. The complete system weighs approximately 150 lbs, with the pole, backboard, and standard rim covered by a Lifetime Limited Warranty.

Lifetime Limited Warranty

Every First Team product is backed by First Team's warranty program. This model carries the warranty noted above. Here is what First Team's warranty tiers cover:

Limited Warranty - covers damage during normal, intended use. Excludes vandalism and deliberate damage. Normal wear from weathering or UV exposure is not covered; all painted items carry a 1-year limited warranty on coating.
Superior Warranty - additionally covers any damage or failure caused by basketball activity or contact with the unit, including deliberate hanging on the rim. Vandalism excluded.
Unconditional Warranty - the broadest tier: covers any damage or failure that occurs for any reason.
Manufacturer's Defect - all products are warranted against manufacturer's defects at delivery.

Warranties apply to the original purchaser only and are non-transferable; coverage ends on resale or transfer. Residential-only products are not covered for non-residential use.
