The GC55-MD is an in-ground basketball system featuring a one-piece 5"x5" 12-gauge steel pole and a 1/4" thick tempered glass backboard sized 32" x 54", suited for driveway installations. A bolt-down anchor mounting system allows the unit to be leveled or relocated if the owner moves.

The all-steel crank actuator adjusts the goal from 7.5' to 10', with a rim height indicator for easy reading. A breakaway rim and net deliver gymnasium-quality flex and rebound, while the 2.5' overhang keeps players clear of the post during aggressive play.

Lifetime warranty covers dunking damage only (GameChanger); paint & padding 1-yr; excludes vandalism, weathering/UV wear.

Every Ironclad Sports basketball system is backed by the manufacturer's Lifetime Warranty. This model carries the warranty noted above. Here is what Ironclad's warranty covers:

Lifetime Warranty on the system - covers damage caused by any basketball related activity, including dunking and hanging on the rim.
GameChanger models - warrantied against dunking only.
Coating - all painted items carry a one-year limited warranty on the coating.
Padding - all post and backboard padding carries a one-year limited warranty.
Not covered - damage caused by vandalism, and normal wear and tear from weathering or UV exposure.

Frequently asked questions

How much space should I leave behind the pole if there's a wall?

Ironclad recommends allowing 18" of distance from the back of the post to any wall or obstruction for ease of cranking and to avoid knuckle scrapes.

Can I move the GC55-MD if I relocate my home?

Yes, the bolt-down anchor base lets you disconnect the unit from its concrete footing and move it to a new location; a new set of anchor bolts may be needed for re-installation.

What is included with the GC55-MD system?
