The First Team FT192TA Breakaway Basketball Rim features a 5/8" diameter steel ring with an official 18" inside diameter. Its backplate components are constructed from 1/4" thick steel, supporting Flush-Mount construction designed for mounting to any backboard without "below board" protrusion. The rim support brace is made of 1/4" x 1 1/2" steel, offering continuous support around 60% of the ring.

The breakaway mechanism is a positive lock design, factory preset, with an automatic return provided by two heavy-duty wire springs that cushion the action. It uses two hardened steel balls in a tubular assembly with a detent to provide breakaway pressure, which is adjustable from 170 lbs. to 230 lbs. without requiring cover plate removal. For player safety, all pinch points have been eliminated, and all components are coated with an official orange powder coated finish.

This rim includes a white nylon net and mounting hardware. It is made in the USA, carries a 5-Year Superior Warranty, and weighs approximately 26#.

Limited Warranty - covers damage during normal, intended use. Excludes vandalism and deliberate damage. Normal wear from weathering or UV exposure is not covered; all painted items carry a 1-year limited warranty on coating.
Superior Warranty - additionally covers any damage or failure caused by basketball activity or contact with the unit, including deliberate hanging on the rim. Vandalism excluded.
Unconditional Warranty - the broadest tier: covers any damage or failure that occurs for any reason.
Manufacturer's Defect - all products are warranted against manufacturer's defects at delivery.

Warranties apply to the original purchaser only and are non-transferable; coverage ends on resale or transfer. Residential-only products are not covered for non-residential use.
