The First Team FT192 Standard Competition Breakaway Goal features a 5/8" diameter steel ring with an official 18" inside diameter and a continuous wire net lock attachment. Its backplate components are constructed of 1/4" thick steel, utilizing a Flush-Mount design that is punched for mounting to any backboard without below-board protrusion. A 1/4" x 1 1/2" steel rim support brace provides continuous support around 60% of the ring. All components are finished with an official orange powder coat.

The goal employs a positive lock breakaway mechanism, factory preset, with an automatic return and cushioning provided by two heavy-duty wire return springs. Breakaway pressure is controlled by two hardened steel balls in a tubular assembly, forced outward by a detent, and all pinch points are eliminated for player safety. The FT192 includes a white nylon net and mounting hardware, weighs approximately 26#, and is made in the USA. It carries a 2-Year Superior Warranty.

Every First Team product is backed by First Team's warranty program. This model carries the warranty noted above. Here is what First Team's warranty tiers cover:

Limited Warranty - covers damage during normal, intended use. Excludes vandalism and deliberate damage. Normal wear from weathering or UV exposure is not covered; all painted items carry a 1-year limited warranty on coating.
Superior Warranty - additionally covers any damage or failure caused by basketball activity or contact with the unit, including deliberate hanging on the rim. Vandalism excluded.
Unconditional Warranty - the broadest tier: covers any damage or failure that occurs for any reason.
Manufacturer's Defect - all products are warranted against manufacturer's defects at delivery.

Warranties apply to the original purchaser only and are non-transferable; coverage ends on resale or transfer. Residential-only products are not covered for non-residential use.
