In short

The Gared BB60G38HH is a 42" x 60" outdoor pro-style rectangular glass basketball backboard. It combines 3/8" fully tempered glass with a welded steel tubular frame, extruded aluminum corners, and a fired white target, and mounts to residential adjustable units, gooseneck posts, or straight arm posts.

The BB60G38HH brings pro-style glass to a reduced-size outdoor board. The 42" x 60" backboard uses 3/8" [10 mm] fully tempered glass with white target lines permanently fused onto the surface, and a clear view design that keeps the sight lines open behind the rim.

Structurally, the board is a unitized welded tubular frame built from heavy wall 3/4" x 1.5" rectangular steel tubing with extruded aluminum corners. The frame is powder coated separately in a flat black weather resistant finish before assembly, and the reinforced goal mounting area allows direct mounting of the goal, board, and structure so the goal can be replaced without removing the board.

Goal mounting holes are on standard 5" horizontal and 4" or 5" vertical centers, so the board accepts most Gared goals (see the Goal-Board Matrix specification sheet for compatibility). The tempered glass is certified to ANSI Z97.1 and CER 1201,II through SGCC. The board ships by truck at 192 lbs, freight class 70.

Warranty

2-Year Limited Warranty on materials and factory workmanship

Gared Holdings LLC warrants its equipment against defects in material or factory workmanship. Coverage length depends on the product line — this model carries the warranty noted above where listed. Gared's warranty periods run as follows:

Lifetime - Endurance playground systems: in-ground post, extension arm and bracing components.
25 years - Standard Duty and Heavy Duty playground posts (braced gooseneck and adjustable straight post structures).
10 years - volleyball uprights on OmniSteel, OmniLite, RallyLine and GoCourt systems, and economy playground posts.
5 years - FGP series football goalposts, manual and electric winches, curtain hoists and the SafStop gymnasium structure.
4 years - 2500 / 2500I Tournament breakaway goals.
3 years - winch assemblies, floor sleeves and cover plates, and regulation volleyball nets.
2 years - portable winch winders and selected backboards.
1 year - nets, padding, base adapters, height adjusters, badminton and tetherball systems, referee stands and accessories.

The warranty period starts on the date of substantial completion (installation). Defects must be reported to Gared in writing during the warranty period with proof of purchase and the purchase or installation date; Gared will repair or replace the defective equipment at its discretion, with shipping, insurance and installation costs borne by the owner.

Not covered: improper installation, use other than intended, unauthorized alterations or modifications, abuse or misuse, and damage from fire, flood, wind or lightning. Liability is limited to repair or replacement of the defective equipment. As an authorized Gared dealer, JoySportStore files warranty claims directly with the manufacturer on your behalf.
