The First Team FT186 Heavy-Duty Flex Goal is an institutional quality flexible rim designed to absorb the shock of player contact, utilizing dual heavy-duty wire springs for its action. It incorporates a continuous net lock system to minimize breakage and has structural components that are no less than 3/16" thick, ensuring durability. The rim features an official size 5/8" high strength steel ring.

This rim includes a 3/16" x 1 ½" rim support, welded around 60% of the ring's bottom, and a minimum ½" diameter CF1045 pivot pin that is welded at final assembly to prevent accidental disassembly. All internal mechanisms are protected by a steel cover plate. The rim is punched for attachment to any standard institutional front mount backboard and boasts an orange powder coat finish.

Included with the FT186 Flex Goal are a heavy-duty nylon net and mounting hardware. The rim weighs approximately 21#, is made in the USA, and is covered by a 2-Year Limited Warranty.

Every First Team product is backed by First Team's warranty program. This model carries the warranty noted above. Here is what First Team's warranty tiers cover:

Limited Warranty - covers damage during normal, intended use. Excludes vandalism and deliberate damage. Normal wear from weathering or UV exposure is not covered; all painted items carry a 1-year limited warranty on coating.
Superior Warranty - additionally covers any damage or failure caused by basketball activity or contact with the unit, including deliberate hanging on the rim. Vandalism excluded.
Unconditional Warranty - the broadest tier: covers any damage or failure that occurs for any reason.
Manufacturer's Defect - all products are warranted against manufacturer's defects at delivery.

Warranties apply to the original purchaser only and are non-transferable; coverage ends on resale or transfer. Residential-only products are not covered for non-residential use.
