The First Team FT187D is a Super-Duty Double Rim Flex Goal designed with a flexible rim to absorb the shock of player contact, utilizing two heavy-duty wire springs for spring action. Its continuous type Netlock system is constructed of 3/16"x 1" steel, featuring punched net attachment slots suitable for nylon or chain nets.

This institutional quality rim incorporates structural components no less than 3/16" thick, consisting of two official sized 5/8" high strength steel rings supported by a 3/16" x 1 ½" rim support welded around 60% of the bottom ring. A minimum ½" diameter CF1045 pivot pin is welded at final assembly, and a steel coverplate encloses all internal mechanisms. The rim is punched to attach on any standard front mount backboard and has an orange powdercoat finish.

The FT187D includes a heavy-duty nylon net and mounting hardware. It is made in the USA, carries a 3-Year Superior Warranty, and weighs approximately 29#.

3-Year Superior Warranty

Every First Team product is backed by First Team's warranty program. This model carries the warranty noted above. Here is what First Team's warranty tiers cover:

Limited Warranty - covers damage during normal, intended use. Excludes vandalism and deliberate damage. Normal wear from weathering or UV exposure is not covered; all painted items carry a 1-year limited warranty on coating.
Superior Warranty - additionally covers any damage or failure caused by basketball activity or contact with the unit, including deliberate hanging on the rim. Vandalism excluded.
Unconditional Warranty - the broadest tier: covers any damage or failure that occurs for any reason.
Manufacturer's Defect - all products are warranted against manufacturer's defects at delivery.

Warranties apply to the original purchaser only and are non-transferable; coverage ends on resale or transfer. Residential-only products are not covered for non-residential use.
