The First Team RuffNeck III Basketball System features a vertical pole constructed of 4 ½" O.D. RS40 zinc flow coated steel tubing with a 7 ga. wall thickness. It is designed for a 48" bury into the ground and offers a 48" setback from the post to the backboard. The system includes two 1" round galvanized tubular braces supporting the top corners of the backboard, connecting directly to the pole, and the rim mounts directly through the backboard into the horizontal extension to prevent backboard stress.

The backboard is a 36"x 54" rectangular acrylic board, 1/2" thick, framed with 1/8" thick anodized aluminum framework. It features a bright white 2" border and an official shooters square screened on the backside to ensure durability and prevent wear.

The standard rim is a flexible, institutional quality type designed to absorb player contact, with spring action provided by a heavy-duty compression wire spring. All structural components are built of no less than 3/16" steel, and a steel coverplate encloses the internal mechanism. The rim has an official 5/8" diameter high strength steel ring, supported by a 3/16" brace supporting 60% of the ring, and is punched to mount either a 3"x 4" or 5"x 5" hole pattern with an Orange powdercoated finish. The entire system weight is approximately 235#, and the pole, backboard, and standard rim carry a 20-Year Limited Warranty.

Pole, backboard, and standard rim shall carry a 20-Year Limited Warranty.

Every First Team product is backed by First Team's warranty program. This model carries the warranty noted above. Here is what First Team's warranty tiers cover:

Limited Warranty - covers damage during normal, intended use. Excludes vandalism and deliberate damage. Normal wear from weathering or UV exposure is not covered; all painted items carry a 1-year limited warranty on coating.
Superior Warranty - additionally covers any damage or failure caused by basketball activity or contact with the unit, including deliberate hanging on the rim. Vandalism excluded.
Unconditional Warranty - the broadest tier: covers any damage or failure that occurs for any reason.
Manufacturer's Defect - all products are warranted against manufacturer's defects at delivery.

Warranties apply to the original purchaser only and are non-transferable; coverage ends on resale or transfer. Residential-only products are not covered for non-residential use.
