The Jaypro BBC-WLKT is the wall mounting kit used to anchor cable supported batting cage and net systems to a gymnasium wall. It supplies the predrilled wood planks and brackets that carry the cable loads, while the wall anchors themselves are selected and supplied by the installer to match the wall construction. Jaypro specifies a minimum of four anchors per attachment point, each at least 1/2" in diameter.

Every cable supported cage ultimately hangs on its wall connection, and that connection is what the BBC-WLKT provides. The kit is built around wood planks that are predrilled for their specific brackets and then drilled on site for the anchor bolt pattern that suits the wall.

Anchor selection is left to the installer because wall construction varies so widely. Jaypro's guidance calls for hardware of at least 1/2" diameter with a minimum of four anchors at each attachment point, and 3/4" holes through the planks so they can be leveled. For pre-cast walls the recommended anchors are Rawl Powerstud or Hilti Kwik Bolt 3; hollow CMU calls for a Tumble Toggle, and filled or solid CMU for a Double Expansion Shield or Hilti Kwik Bolt 3.

Preparation matters as much as the hardware. Any sheetrock or other non-structural covering must be removed from directly behind the planks, mortar joints should be avoided, and the wall itself has to be capable of carrying the full cage load plus cable tension. Jaypro recommends annual preventive maintenance and periodic inspection to retighten hardware loosened by vibration.

Warranty

Jaypro Sports (Waterford, Connecticut) warrants its equipment against defects in material and workmanship from the date of shipment. Coverage length depends on the product line — where a specific period is listed above, that period applies to this model. Jaypro warranty periods run as follows:

Limited Lifetime – glass basketball backboards (GBAFR-48, GBRUB-42, GBRUB-54) against breaks and cracks in the glass when used with a direct goal mount.
25 years – structure of wall-mounted basketball backstops and Shooting Station systems.
10 years – uprights on FeatherLite, PowerLite and Hybrid Steel volleyball net systems.
7 years – Collegiate competition basketball goals (GBA-542 "Shot", GBA-642 "Revolution").
5 years – Revolution Series 180° flex basketball goals.
3 years – the majority of the catalog: fixed and breakaway basketball goals, aluminum backboards, lacrosse and field hockey goals, floor sleeves, sleeve reducers and floor anchors, referee stands and equipment carriers.
1 year – bases, home plates and pitching rubbers, volleyball nets and net accessories (antennas, boundary tape, court lines), batting cage systems and general accessories.

The warranty covers factory defects under normal, intended use. Jaypro will repair, replace or refund the defective item at its discretion; claims require a Return Authorization (RMA) before any item is sent back.

Not covered: normal wear, weather exposure, cosmetic damage that does not affect function, improper installation, use other than intended, and any unauthorized alteration or modification of the original factory configuration. As an authorized Jaypro Sports dealer, JoySportStore files warranty claims directly with the manufacturer on your behalf.

Are the wall anchors included with BBC-WLKT?

No. Because wall types vary so much, Jaypro does not ship anchors with the kit; the installer or customer supplies the correct anchor, though common types can be purchased from Jaypro directly.

What anchor should I use for my wall type?
