Futsal and handball goals see heavy contact, and an unanchored frame is both a play and a safety problem. The 8340 kit solves that with a floor anchor set flush with the finished floor, a clamp that attaches securely to the ground bar of the goal, and a heavy galvanized tension band that ties into the backstay. A 1/2"-13 zinc plated hex head bolt draws the assembly down tight and can be removed when the floor needs to be cleared for another sport.
Three anchor styles are offered so the kit suits the floor construction. Style B (8340B) is used on wood floors where one layer of wood sits directly on concrete, and is also used on portable wood basketball floors such as arena floors 3" or more thick for anchoring Gared portable units. Style BX (8340BX) is for wood floors laid over a subfloor that rests directly on concrete, and Style C (8340C) is for concrete or synthetic floors.
Installation is straightforward: drill the concrete with a 1-1/8" [28.5 mm] bit to a depth 3/8" [10 mm] greater than the anchor embedment, then set the anchor with the adhesive included in the kit. The anchor is steel, made in the US, and the kit ships UPS at 4 lbs.
