The Varsity Mini 5×7 L-Screen is built for both field and batting cage use, offering a smaller footprint than a standard L-screen while maintaining the durability needed for repeated batting practice sessions. Its 1.5″ powder coated steel frame uses a compression bolt together design for stability, and each leg includes a welded gusset to improve durability and longevity over time.

Protection is provided by a heavy duty #60 knotted net that is UV weather treated and slips over the frame in a pillow-case style for double protection. The 7′ H x 5′ W frame with a 3′ x 3′ cutout gives pitchers ample space to throw from behind the screen comfortably while taking up less space in a cage or on the field compared to larger screens.

Douglas Industries, Inc. (Eldridge, Iowa) backs its equipment with the Douglas® Standard Limited Warranty against defects in material and factory workmanship. Coverage length depends on the product line — where a specific period is listed above, that period applies to this model. Douglas warranty periods run as follows:

Limited Lifetime – gooseneck basketball posts with 6' extension.
25 years – gooseneck basketball posts with 4' extension.
10 years – gooseneck posts with 3' extension; pro-rated structural warranty on Bakko and steel/aluminum backboards (1 year on the Imron® finish); selected post and net systems.
7 years – Douglas® MAX batting tunnel frames (with proper installation and normal use).
5 years – standard Douglas® batting tunnel frames, most tennis / volleyball / pickleball post systems and Premier™ posts; 5-year fade warranty on Sunbrella® canvas.
4 years – VCP MAX windscreen mesh, #420 knotless pylon netting and other netting lines; fabrics are warranted pro-rata for 3–4 years against material defects and poor workmanship.
3 years – selected fabric and netting products.
2 years – selected hardware and padding.
1 year – accessories, replacement parts and paint / finish coverage.

Digital printing on windscreen and vinyl products carries the same warranty as the underlying windscreen or vinyl material.

Not covered: improper installation, use other than intended, unauthorized alterations, abuse or misuse, normal wear, and damage from fire, flood, wind, lightning or leaving products outdoors beyond their intended seasonal use.
