The Varsity 8×10 Field Screen from Douglas is designed to offer maximum protection for bases during fielding drills and station work, with an oversized frame that many coaches prefer over a standard 7×7 screen. The 8′ H x 10′ W dimensions give fielders and coaches a larger protective area during infield and outfield practice.

Built with a 1.5 in. powder coated steel bolt-together frame, the screen combines stability and strength to withstand repeated use during batting practice and fielding drills. The UV weather treated #60 knotted net slips over the frame in pillow-case style for double-layer protection, and each leg features a welded gusset to further ensure durability and longevity.

Versatile in application, this screen works well for baseball or softball, whether used to protect fielders during drills, as a catcher's backstop, as a divider or backdrop inside batting cage tunnels, or for hanging pitcher's targets. An optional wheel kit is available for easier mobility.

Warranty

Douglas Industries, Inc. (Eldridge, Iowa) backs its equipment with the Douglas® Standard Limited Warranty against defects in material and factory workmanship. Coverage length depends on the product line — where a specific period is listed above, that period applies to this model. Douglas warranty periods run as follows:

Limited Lifetime – gooseneck basketball posts with 6' extension.
25 years – gooseneck basketball posts with 4' extension.
10 years – gooseneck posts with 3' extension; pro-rated structural warranty on Bakko and steel/aluminum backboards (1 year on the Imron® finish); selected post and net systems.
7 years – Douglas® MAX batting tunnel frames (with proper installation and normal use).
5 years – standard Douglas® batting tunnel frames, most tennis / volleyball / pickleball post systems and Premier™ posts; 5-year fade warranty on Sunbrella® canvas.
4 years – VCP MAX windscreen mesh, #420 knotless pylon netting and other netting lines; fabrics are warranted pro-rata for 3–4 years against material defects and poor workmanship.
3 years – selected fabric and netting products.
2 years – selected hardware and padding.
1 year – accessories, replacement parts and paint / finish coverage.

Digital printing on windscreen and vinyl products carries the same warranty as the underlying windscreen or vinyl material.

Not covered: improper installation, use other than intended, unauthorized alterations, abuse or misuse, normal wear, and damage from fire, flood, wind, lightning or leaving products outdoors beyond their intended seasonal use.
