The First Team Legend Intensity-BP Basketball System is a robust fixed height goal featuring a vertical pole constructed of 6" square steel tubing with a 3/16" wall thickness and a black powder coat finish. This pole includes a 3/8" thick baseplate and four support gussets, designed for installation via a 5-bolt anchor system. The main 45-degree extension arm is also made of 6" square 3/16" wall steel tubing, providing a 66" extension from the front of the pole to the face of the backboard.

The system's 42”x72” rectangular aluminum backboard has a 10 gauge skin and a ¼” rear support strap structure, with fully welded and ground corners and edges for safety. The backboard face is white powder-coated, punched with 3/8” holes throughout, excluding the 2” border and shooter's square area, and accepts rims with a 5”x5” hole pattern. The standard rim is fabricated from 3/16” backplates and side plates, featuring double 5/8” diameter high strength steel welded in at least six places, and is powder coated orange. A nylon net is included, attached by a net locking system that accommodates either nylon or chain nets.

The rim and backboard are directly mounted to the pole using four high strength steel bolts, ensuring that weight suspended from the rim is transferred directly to the pole structure. This, combined with the backboard mounting at four places top and bottom, helps eliminate common rust streaks. All steel pole components are welded using maximum penetration, continuous weld, MIG procedure, and finished with a polyester powder-coated black finish. The entire system weighs approximately 602#, and the pole, backboard, and standard rim carry a Lifetime Superior Warranty. The backboard is manufactured in the USA.

Lifetime Superior Warranty

Every First Team product is backed by First Team's warranty program. This model carries the warranty noted above. Here is what First Team's warranty tiers cover:

Limited Warranty - covers damage during normal, intended use. Excludes vandalism and deliberate damage. Normal wear from weathering or UV exposure is not covered; all painted items carry a 1-year limited warranty on coating.
Superior Warranty - additionally covers any damage or failure caused by basketball activity or contact with the unit, including deliberate hanging on the rim. Vandalism excluded.
Unconditional Warranty - the broadest tier: covers any damage or failure that occurs for any reason.
Manufacturer's Defect - all products are warranted against manufacturer's defects at delivery.

Warranties apply to the original purchaser only and are non-transferable; coverage ends on resale or transfer. Residential-only products are not covered for non-residential use.
