The Storm Arena Portable Basketball System combines durability with portability through its all-steel construction featuring two vertical uprights of 2" x 5" rectangular tubing supported by 2" x 2" square tubular braces. The main extension boom is constructed of heavy-gauge 4" x 4" square tubing with a 3" x 3" inner telescoping slide boom, allowing backboard-to-base extension to vary from 54" to 66" while maintaining regulation 10' rim height.

Operation is managed through a spring-assist mechanism using six painted 3 ½" coil springs (not hydraulics) that support the backboard, rim, boom, and uprights, enabling simple one-person setup and adjustment. The rim height is adjustable in six-inch increments from 10' down to 6' via a removable pin, and the institutional-quality flexible rim features an official 5/8" diameter with an 18" inside diameter opening.

Stability is ensured by a 48" wide all-steel base with four eight-inch non-marking wheels and a ballast box designed to accept up to 24 solid cement blocks (720 lbs total). Every First Team product is backed by First Team's warranty program. This model carries the warranty noted above. Here is what First Team's warranty tiers cover:

Limited Warranty - covers damage during normal, intended use. Excludes vandalism and deliberate damage. Normal wear from weathering or UV exposure is not covered; all painted items carry a 1-year limited warranty on coating.
Superior Warranty - additionally covers any damage or failure caused by basketball activity or contact with the unit, including deliberate hanging on the rim. Vandalism excluded.
Unconditional Warranty - the broadest tier: covers any damage or failure that occurs for any reason.
Manufacturer's Defect - all products are warranted against manufacturer's defects at delivery.

Warranties apply to the original purchaser only and are non-transferable; coverage ends on resale or transfer. Residential-only products are not covered for non-residential use.
