In short

The Gared 1119 Portable Electric Winch Winder powers folding basketball backstops that have manual winches installed, so one portable unit can serve any number of backstops. It runs a heavy duty single-phase 115-120 volt double insulated motor at a maximum 350 rpm and has a reversing switch that raises or lowers the backstop without disengaging the winder. The winder ships with an 8-foot cord and a high density impact resistant hinged folding case.

The 1119 is the least expensive way of electrifying swing-up backstops that already use manual winches. Because it is portable, a facility only needs to buy one winder and can use it on any number of backstops instead of motorizing each one.

The motor is a heavy duty single-phase 115-120 volt unit (60 Hz, 4.5 amps), double insulated, with a maximum 350 rpm. A reversing switch lets the operator lower or raise the backstop without disengaging the winder, and the geometric right-angle drive plus two handles keep the unit manageable during operation. The lightweight 11 lb design makes handling easy.

The winder comes standard with an 8-foot cord and is supplied in a high density impact resistant hinged folding case for storage and transport between courts.

2-Year Limited Warranty against defects in material or factory workmanship

Gared Holdings LLC warrants its equipment against defects in material or factory workmanship. Coverage length depends on the product line — this model carries the warranty noted above where listed. Gared's warranty periods run as follows:

Lifetime - Endurance playground systems: in-ground post, extension arm and bracing components.
25 years - Standard Duty and Heavy Duty playground posts (braced gooseneck and adjustable straight post structures).
10 years - volleyball uprights on OmniSteel, OmniLite, RallyLine and GoCourt systems, and economy playground posts.
5 years - FGP series football goalposts, manual and electric winches, curtain hoists and the SafStop gymnasium structure.
4 years - 2500 / 2500I Tournament breakaway goals.
3 years - winch assemblies, floor sleeves and cover plates, and regulation volleyball nets.
2 years - portable winch winders and selected backboards.
1 year - nets, padding, base adapters, height adjusters, badminton and tetherball systems, referee stands and accessories.

The warranty period starts on the date of substantial completion (installation). Defects must be reported to Gared in writing during the warranty period with proof of purchase and the purchase or installation date; Gared will repair or replace the defective equipment at its discretion, with shipping, insurance and installation costs borne by the owner.

Not covered: improper installation, use other than intended, unauthorized alterations or modifications, abuse or misuse, and damage from fire, flood, wind or lightning. Liability is limited to repair or replacement of the defective equipment. As an authorized Gared dealer, JoySportStore files warranty claims directly with the manufacturer on your behalf.
