In short

The Gared SideOut ODVB35 is an outdoor volleyball standard set built from 3-1/2" O.D. galvanized steel uprights, supplied as two posts with a net tensioning winch, plated eyebolts and two 20" PVC ground sleeves with caps. Eyebolt positions cover men's (95-5/8"), women's (88-1/8") and badminton (60") net heights. The net is ordered separately as ODVBNET (28 ft) or ODVBNET32 (32 ft).

The ODVB35 SideOut system is designed for school, park and playground courts where posts stay outdoors year round. Uprights are 3-1/2" O.D. galvanized steel with a 10'-0" tube, and all hardware is galvanized or plated to protect against corrosion.

Each upright carries plated 3/8" x 4-1/4" welded turned eyebolts drilled for two playing net heights plus a lower badminton setting, so one set of posts covers men's play at 95-5/8" (2.429 m), women's play at 88-1/8" (2.238 m) and badminton at 60" (1.524 m). One upright has a net tensioning winch for the top net cable, and two 1/8" rope ratchets tension the net itself at the winch post.

Two 20" (508 mm) PVC ground sleeves and powder coated steel caps are included for semi-permanent installation - the posts lift out when the court is not in use. Each sleeve is set in a hole at least 15" in diameter and 30" deep, requiring a minimum of 7 cubic feet of concrete; concrete is not supplied.

The net is specified and sold separately. ODVBNET is 28 ft (8.5 m) long for post centers set at 32'-0" (9.75 m); ODVBNET32 is 32 ft (9.75 m) long for post centers at 36'-0" (10.97 m). The complete standards package ships by truck at 195 lbs / 88.45 kg.

Warranty

2-Year Limited Warranty

Gared Holdings LLC warrants its equipment against defects in material or factory workmanship. Coverage length depends on the product line — this model carries the warranty noted above where listed. Gared's warranty periods run as follows:

Lifetime - Endurance playground systems: in-ground post, extension arm and bracing components.
25 years - Standard Duty and Heavy Duty playground posts (braced gooseneck and adjustable straight post structures).
10 years - volleyball uprights on OmniSteel, OmniLite, RallyLine and GoCourt systems, and economy playground posts.
5 years - FGP series football goalposts, manual and electric winches, curtain hoists and the SafStop gymnasium structure.
4 years - 2500 / 2500I Tournament breakaway goals.
3 years - winch assemblies, floor sleeves and cover plates, and regulation volleyball nets.
2 years - portable winch winders and selected backboards.
1 year - nets, padding, base adapters, height adjusters, badminton and tetherball systems, referee stands and accessories.

The warranty period starts on the date of substantial completion (installation). Defects must be reported to Gared in writing during the warranty period with proof of purchase and the purchase or installation date; Gared will repair or replace the defective equipment at its discretion, with shipping, insurance and installation costs borne by the owner.

Not covered: improper installation, use other than intended, unauthorized alterations or modifications, abuse or misuse, and damage from fire, flood, wind or lightning. Liability is limited to repair or replacement of the defective equipment. As an authorized Gared dealer, JoySportStore files warranty claims directly with the manufacturer on your behalf.

Is the net included with the ODVB35?

No. The net must be specified and ordered separately - ODVBNET at 28 ft (8.5 m) for 32 ft post centers, or ODVBNET32 at 32 ft (9.75 m) for 36 ft post centers.

What net heights does the ODVB35 support?

Plated eyebolts on each upright set the net at men's height 95-5/8" (2.429 m), women's height 88-1/8" (2.238 m), and badminton height 60" (1.524 m). Net height is measured at the middle of the court.

What foundation is required?

Dig each hole a minimum of 15" in diameter and 30" deep and pour it level with concrete, setting the included ground sleeve flush with the finished playing surface. Allow at least 24 hours of cure time. Concrete is not included.
