In short

The Gared 6414 is a 3" above floor end T-base sleeve for volleyball posts, used where the sub-floor structure cannot accommodate a traditional in-ground floor sleeve. The welded tubular steel T-base is black powder coated, accepts a 3" [76.2 mm] diameter post, and includes 2" non-marking transport wheels and a floor anchor. It is compatible with Gared Volleyball Systems models 5000, 5100 and 5300.

Above floor sleeves solve a specific problem: floors whose sub-structure will not take a traditional in-ground sleeve. The 6414 end T-base sits on the floor surface and locks to a floor anchor, so the system needs no dangerous guy cables or rigid supports. Its gross dimensions are 12" high x 20-1/8" long x 18" wide, and the sleeve I.D. is 3-1/16" [78 mm] to accept a 3" [76.2 mm] diameter volleyball post.

The base is welded steel tubing (2" [52 mm] x 3" [76 mm]) with a black powder coat finish, and 2" [52 mm] non-marking transport wheels are included for moving it between courts. It locks down with a 1/2" threaded rod on a hand knob that screws into the floor anchor. The anchor is included, but the style must be specified with the order: 151651460 Style BX, 151651461 Style B, 151651462 Style C or 151651463 Style E, depending on whether the floor is wood over concrete, concrete or synthetic over concrete, or floating wood on sleepers.

The 6414 is compatible with Gared Performance Sports Systems volleyball systems models 5000, 5100 and 5300; modification to in-ground post lengths will be required. It is sold as each. Warranty

1-Year Limited Warranty against defects in material or factory workmanship

Gared Holdings LLC warrants its equipment against defects in material or factory workmanship. Coverage length depends on the product line — this model carries the warranty noted above where listed. Gared's warranty periods run as follows:

Lifetime - Endurance playground systems: in-ground post, extension arm and bracing components.
25 years - Standard Duty and Heavy Duty playground posts (braced gooseneck and adjustable straight post structures).
10 years - volleyball uprights on OmniSteel, OmniLite, RallyLine and GoCourt systems, and economy playground posts.
5 years - FGP series football goalposts, manual and electric winches, curtain hoists and the SafStop gymnasium structure.
4 years - 2500 / 2500I Tournament breakaway goals.
3 years - winch assemblies, floor sleeves and cover plates, and regulation volleyball nets.
2 years - portable winch winders and selected backboards.
1 year - nets, padding, base adapters, height adjusters, badminton and tetherball systems, referee stands and accessories.

The warranty period starts on the date of substantial completion (installation). Defects must be reported to Gared in writing during the warranty period with proof of purchase and the purchase or installation date; Gared will repair or replace the defective equipment at its discretion, with shipping, insurance and installation costs borne by the owner.

Not covered: improper installation, use other than intended, unauthorized alterations or modifications, abuse or misuse, and damage from fire, flood, wind or lightning. Liability is limited to repair or replacement of the defective equipment. As an authorized Gared dealer, JoySportStore files warranty claims directly with the manufacturer on your behalf.
