In short

The Gared 6405 is a heavy wall steel, powder-coated in-floor sleeve designed to receive 4" diameter (3.96" actual) volleyball uprights, specifically Gared 7200 and 7300 series posts. It allows uprights to be removed and stored flush with the court when not in use. The sleeve itself does not include a floor cover, which must be ordered separately.

The Gared Volleyball Floor Sleeve (SKU 6405) is a permanent in-ground fixture constructed of heavy wall steel tubing with a powder coat finish. It is engineered for indoor facilities using floating or non-floating synthetic floors, providing a recessed anchor point so volleyball uprights can be removed and the court cleared for other activities.

The sleeve has a 4" outer diameter and accepts 3.96" (100.6 mm) diameter posts, matching Gared's 7200 and 7300 series volleyball systems. It is designed to be grouted in at a depth of 14" below the finished floor and is set at a 3° angle to compensate for post clearance and deflection when the net is tensioned during use.

Installation requires cutting a 4-3/4" to 5" diameter hole through the floor and concrete slab, anchoring the sleeve with non-shrink grout, and routing a 6-1/4" diameter, 9/16" deep counterbore for the floor plate/ring, which is secured with wood screws. A matching floor cover is required to finish the installation but must be purchased separately (see accessories 6422-6433).

Warranty

3-year warranty on materials/factory workmanship from date of installation; excludes improper install, misuse, and disasters.

Gared Holdings LLC warrants its equipment against defects in material or factory workmanship. Coverage length depends on the product line — this model carries the warranty noted above where listed. Gared's warranty periods run as follows:

Lifetime - Endurance playground systems: in-ground post, extension arm and bracing components.
25 years - Standard Duty and Heavy Duty playground posts (braced gooseneck and adjustable straight post structures).
10 years - volleyball uprights on OmniSteel, OmniLite, RallyLine and GoCourt systems, and economy playground posts.
5 years - FGP series football goalposts, manual and electric winches, curtain hoists and the SafStop gymnasium structure.
4 years - 2500 / 2500I Tournament breakaway goals.
3 years - winch assemblies, floor sleeves and cover plates, and regulation volleyball nets.
2 years - portable winch winders and selected backboards.
1 year - nets, padding, base adapters, height adjusters, badminton and tetherball systems, referee stands and accessories.

The warranty period starts on the date of substantial completion (installation). Defects must be reported to Gared in writing during the warranty period with proof of purchase and the purchase or installation date; Gared will repair or replace the defective equipment at its discretion, with shipping, insurance and installation costs borne by the owner.

Not covered: improper installation, use other than intended, unauthorized alterations or modifications, abuse or misuse, and damage from fire, flood, wind or lightning. Liability is limited to repair or replacement of the defective equipment. As an authorized Gared dealer, JoySportStore files warranty claims directly with the manufacturer on your behalf.
