In short

The Gared 6404 Volleyball Floor Sleeve is a heavy wall steel floor sleeve for 3" [76 mm] diameter volleyball posts, specified for Gared 5000, 5100 and 5300 series systems. It has a 9" [229 mm] depth and allows uprights to be removed and stored so the court can be used for other activities. A floor sleeve cover is required and sold separately.

The 6404 is the 3" version of Gared's volleyball floor sleeve line. Built from heavy-gage steel, it supports the upright in an indoor facility while still letting crews pull the posts and clear the floor between events. Gared specifies it for 3" [76 mm] diameter posts used on its 5000, 5100 and 5300 series systems.

Construction is heavy wall steel tubing with a powder coat finish, with a 9" [229 mm] sleeve depth for floating and non-floating synthetic floors. The sleeve is set at a 3 degree angle to compensate for post clearance inside the sleeve and for post deflection when the net is tensioned. It is designed for a post depth of 11" [279 mm] below the finished floor with most floor types and is set in non-shrink grout supplied by others, with a typical grout depth of 1'-8" [508 mm] shown on the drawing.

A vinyl cap protects the sleeve opening, and a floor sleeve cover is required but ordered separately from the 6422-6433 range. The 6401 Second Story Floor Sleeve Adapter is available as an accessory, and custom length sleeves can be ordered under PN 604655323. The 6404 is made in the US and ships by UPS at 6 lbs.

Warranty

3-Year Limited Warranty against defects in material or factory workmanship

Gared Holdings LLC warrants its equipment against defects in material or factory workmanship. Coverage length depends on the product line — this model carries the warranty noted above where listed. Gared's warranty periods run as follows:

Lifetime - Endurance playground systems: in-ground post, extension arm and bracing components.
25 years - Standard Duty and Heavy Duty playground posts (braced gooseneck and adjustable straight post structures).
10 years - volleyball uprights on OmniSteel, OmniLite, RallyLine and GoCourt systems, and economy playground posts.
5 years - FGP series football goalposts, manual and electric winches, curtain hoists and the SafStop gymnasium structure.
4 years - 2500 / 2500I Tournament breakaway goals.
3 years - winch assemblies, floor sleeves and cover plates, and regulation volleyball nets.
2 years - portable winch winders and selected backboards.
1 year - nets, padding, base adapters, height adjusters, badminton and tetherball systems, referee stands and accessories.

The warranty period starts on the date of substantial completion (installation). Defects must be reported to Gared in writing during the warranty period with proof of purchase and the purchase or installation date; Gared will repair or replace the defective equipment at its discretion, with shipping, insurance and installation costs borne by the owner.

Not covered: improper installation, use other than intended, unauthorized alterations or modifications, abuse or misuse, and damage from fire, flood, wind or lightning. Liability is limited to repair or replacement of the defective equipment. As an authorized Gared dealer, JoySportStore files warranty claims directly with the manufacturer on your behalf.
